IU East nursing students (Class of 2016) work at the Bowery Mission in Lower Manhattan, NYC. The Bowery has been a mission since 1879 and serves three meals a day, 365 days a year to the homeless community. They also have a shower program where homeless individuals can shower and get fresh clothes.
